Like Zelig or Forest Gump, take your pickhe moves across continents and in and out of the fringes of history, a part of major events, but always just out of the frame, or slightly out of focus quite literally — the I have a weakness for picaresque novels, and so picked up this one about a Serbo-Brazillian anarchist assassin with great anticipation.

The main character is somehow inexplicably a genius who speaks every language and is a crack shot with every gunan This book is supposed to be funny, but it just reads like a Looney Tunes cartoon. Still a fun read. As quasi-historical fiction, it’s fun stuff especially delicious is a homicidal dwarf who pursues Dmitiri throughout the bookand Soares does a wonderful job weaving his earnest protagonist into history.
The night is promising and life is an unexpected guest. He goes down a path where at every turn he makes, murder and mayhem is left behind; but not by his hands, to his utmost disappointment. No entanto, dos policiais que li, este foi o que menos me prendeu.
This tale of the world’s most charming and hapless assassin, Forrest Gump as a twelve-fingered Serbian-Brazilian anarchist out to rid the world of tyrants, is a rake gag of a book, and I suspect a lot of folks will find it repetitive.
