At first Faro and Elvira do not help, but then realize how brave Sapphire and Conor are so they help them. Sapphire, like a real child, has to tell the reader every thought that goes through her head and every step she takes through the day, heoen more than once. I also think this falls victim to series cliches of not exposing enough of the “mysteries” to keep me satisfied with the intent of saving it for later books.
