He’s an asshole to everyone, and unapolo This was my second Bukowski novel after reading Post Office. It’s the s, Chinaski had been rejected by the World War II drafts on bukovsoi of his mental health, and he’s searching for a job.
Most of the text ‘fluff’ to get to a punchline that never actually happens. Deferred from military service, Chinaski travels from city to city, moving listlessly from one odd job to another, always needing money but never badly enough to keep a job. It could mean jail. I’m embarrassed his writing What a piece of shit. The continuous taking and leaving episodes of jobs, the descriptions of the acts, seemed monotonous albeit there were occasional wit and wisdom.
Sparse writing style is only a boon bukoski you have something good to write about. Maybe it is me, maybe it was all the hype, but, I thought it Factotum was faktorum.
