The man who really stands out in all of this is Phil Sheridan.
The Army of the Potomac set is a much more entertaining less dry read in my opinion. We gain glimpses into the character, relationships, ztillness movements, and stratagems of major players such as Grant, Sheridan, and Lee, as well as of numerous more minor characters in that great tragedy.
